Focus on You

When the world seems like it is changing around you and it is, how do you focus on you? How do you focus on your growth, mindset, negative thoughts, self care when everything around you is in shambles?

Taking a few minutes each day to focus inward on yourself can help bring you out of a feeling of chaos and into a more stable space. Doing something for just you or just you and your family.

Focusing on this moment, what it feels like and embracing it while letting the chaos fall away even if just for a few minutes. Because when you focus on that for a few minutes, then it becomes easier and you can spend longer time doing it. It is a process and it is going to take some time. Habits don’t form overnight they take time to cultivate.

Starting on yourself and showing your mind that it is okay to take time to focus on you and learn more about yourself. Chances are you are spending a lot more time on your own even as protocols ease up around the US. So spend that time wisely. Take some time and search within yourself and get to know them better.

What is it you really want out of your life? Do you have it now? If not, how could you get there? What’s step one toward that life? Once you figure that out, you can begin to move forward.

It is easy to feel complacent in life when we have achieved certain goals such as, get married, get the degree, get the job, have the baby. But what comes after that? I mean, even the song you sing at your friends when they have a crush on someone is “First comes love, then comes marriage, then a little baby in a baby carriage”. Even as children we are programmed not to think about what happens after that.

What did you do next?

I lost myself. Until the past two years, I was wondering around in life and felt very lost. It was a dark time in my life and I constantly battled depression. This past year I have done a lot of healing work and looking inward to who I am to the core. I have made some discoveries as well as what my real goals and dreams are in life.

That focus inward was partly why I began to share here, on my podcast and on social media. I felt like someone was going through what I had and needed to hear my story.

So, what will you do next? Let me know in my facebook group! The link is located on the home page!
